I Dream Of A Better World

13 November, 2017 16 Comments 188

I’m Krystelle, a Finance professional in the Philippines. I recently left my corporate job to seek a great perhaps. I’m searching for something that will outlive this life so maybe yes, I want to change the world. Albert Einstein said that we can’t change the world if we don’t change our thinking. So I embarked in this journey of self-discovery and reshaping my mind for greater possibilities.
I dream of a better world. But most of the time I feel so small and so helpless. Who am I? What can I do? Then I heard about the story of a young man who started a foundation with $25 to make education more accessible to poor children around the world. His foundation was able to build 429 schools to date. A little boy begging in the streets of India fueled this change in him. He asked the boy what he wanted most in this world and he answered, a pencil. These are the kind of stories I seek and I wish to share. And I hope to inspire more people to act. For collectively, we can change the world.

(as what we call Krystelle) did his staunch move without some what ifs and indeed she went far in realizing her sense of purpose. I’m happy for you froggey baby!

This girl whom I’ve known for so many years now has the guts to leave her profession to explore, as she says, greater possibilities and to help make the world a better place. Such unselfish act of love and kindness. Way to go KO. We support you all the way. Clap clap! Cheers! 😁

When K.O volunteered in Kep, Cambodia, I personally struggled to understand why she has to take risk of her personal safety and welfare for this travel. But when I saw how she connected the stories of the little children to us and to the rest of her network, I knew by then, she is not just simply traveling but she is connecting us to rest of the world. Her travels may look the same with the others, but her story with the people she met and their wonderful stories are giving us the sense of connection to the rest of the world. Leaving a high-paying corporate work to share oneself to the world is a step only a brave soul can take.

This lady gave up a comfortable life and stable career to pursue what her heart desires. She also willing break barriers and build bridges to achieve her goals. She is willing to go out of her way to extend a helping hand to those who need it.
